Who are we?
We are two brothers, both graduates in Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy from the University of Ferrara, with specialist training completed by a II level University Master in Regulatory Affairs. From this academic background, a strong motivation was born in us: to put our scientific and regulatory know-how at the service of the cosmetic industry, with the aim of bringing high-quality, safe, and innovative products to the market.
Our passion for cosmetics, however, has its roots much further back. From a very young age, we grew up observing and assisting our uncle, the founder of the cosmetics company Mila Robinson, based in Aleppo (Syria). From him, we learnt the value of research, perseverance and a rigorous focus on the quality of raw materials.
Founded in 1990, Mila Robinson was one of Syria’s best-known cosmetics companies, renowned for its use of Italian-made raw materials and for distributing its products throughout Syria and in parts of the Middle East. The company also boasted strong commercial relationships with major cosmetics groups, including L’Oréal.
What was a dream, sadly interrupted by the passing of our uncle and put on hold due to the Syrian civil war that began in 2011, is reborn today. Thanks to our university education and the professional and human legacy we received, we have decided to continue that path with renewed determination.
And so Anis Cosmetics was born: a project that embodies our surname, our history and a wealth of expertise built up over time. A meeting of cultures that are seemingly distant but deeply united by the richness of the Mediterranean, of which Italy is the beating heart.
